    Description

The Tate Signet Ring explores personal identity through a refined, architectural form. A vintage oval white diamond is set into a clean signet shape, balancing softness with structure. Referencing Victorian design logic and Renaissance ideas of proportion, the ring translates historical influence into something quietly contemporary.

Rather than relying on decoration, the design focuses on clarity and presence, allowing the diamond to feel integral to the form. Crafted in recycled precious metals and finished by hand, the Tate Signet Ring is conceived as a modern heirloom — designed on a limited number of pieces.

    Care

Our jewellery is crafted for everyday wear, but we recommend removing it during intense physical activities like gym workouts, swimming, or beach outings.

When you're at home, store your pieces in a secure jewellery box or their protective pouch to keep them looking beautiful for years to come.

    Sourcing

Every piece in our collections is crafted from post-consumer recycled precious metals unless otherwise specified. For made-to-order pieces and bespoke commissions, we can also create designs in alternative alloys upon request.

The diamonds in our collections carry whispered secrets from the past — exclusively reclaimed from a trusted network of antique suppliers who uphold the highest ethical standards. For bespoke and made-to-order commissions, our diamonds are sourced from suppliers adhering to Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) requirements. When not recycled, gemstones are sourced from suppliers who ensure complete traceability to origin, reflecting our commitment to the highest ethical practices.

Hand engraving is skillfully performed by local craftspeople in the UK. Each hand-rendered engraving may show subtle variations, ensuring every piece is uniquely distinct.

Every item is individually handcrafted in London. By producing our collections locally and on a small scale, we can meticulously oversee the artistry, quality, and precision that define each piece — while also reducing our environmental impact.

    Shipping & Returns

Every piece is carefully hand-packed and dispatched within 1-3 working days for in-stock items.

Our made-to-order pieces typically take 4-6 weeks to perfect (though they often cooperate and arrive early—aren't we fortunate?).

    Size Guide - Rings

We are absolutely here to help with any questions about choosing your jewellery.

The Reality?: Your fingers are all different sizes. A bit rude of them, really.

The Solution: Visit a local jeweller for professional measuring (it's free and guarantees perfect fit). Prefer to stay home? Email us and we'll send you a complimentary ring sizer. A small shipping fee applies to cover postage.

The best: We offer complimentary resizing on all bespoke and made-to-order pieces—hassle-free. This service can be use once at a later date whenever necessary.

The Fine Print: Some intricate designs resist resizing (we'll let you know beforehand). Most rings accommodate three sizes up or down—beyond that becomes an entirely new ring.

    How to measure your finger

The String Method (At-Home Quick Measure)

You can measure your ring size at home using string or dental floss:

    1. Wrap the string around the base of your finger where you'll wear the ring
    2. Mark where the ends meet with a pen
    3. Lay the string flat and measure the marked length with a ruler (in millimeters)
    4. Compare your measurement to our ring size chart to find your size.
    Choosing the correct size

    Tips for Accurate Sizing:

Consider Your Knuckle - Your ring needs to slide comfortably over your knuckle while fitting snugly at the base of your finger. If your knuckle is significantly larger, we recommend sizing up for comfort.

Measure at the Right Time - Fingers naturally fluctuate in size throughout the day. For the most accurate measurement, size your finger at the end of the day when it's at its largest. Avoid measuring when you're cold, as fingers shrink in lower temperatures.

Account for Ring Width - Wider bands (over 6mm) typically require a half to full size larger than narrow bands, as they cover more surface area on your finger.

Between Sizes? - If you're between two sizes, consider the season you'll wear it most and whether you prefer a snug or looser fit. For year-round wear, it's generally better to size up slightly.

Dominant Hand Consideration - Fingers on your dominant hand are often slightly larger due to increased use and circulation.

Not Sure? - We're here to help. Contact our team for personalised sizing advice, or request a complimentary ring sizer to ensure your perfect fit.

Buying the ring as a gift?

Surprising someone special? We've made it easy to find the right size discreetly.

Subtle Ways to Find Their Size:

Borrow a Ring They Already Wear - Temporarily "borrow" a ring they wear on the same finger (ideally the ring finger of the intended hand). Trace the inside of the ring on paper or press it into soap or clay to capture the size. Bring this to your local jeweller or contact us for assistance.

Ask Their Close Friends or Family - Someone in their inner circle may already know their ring size, or they might be able to help you find out discreetly.

Check Their Existing Jewellery - If they have rings from previous purchases, check if there's any sizing information on receipts, boxes, or inside the band itself.

The Sneaky Try-On - Casually suggest trying on rings while shopping together, or playfully try on each other's rings to gauge size.

Estimate Based on Their Build - As a general guide, average ring sizes are typically N-P (UK) / 6.5-8 (US) for women and T-V (UK) / 9-11 (US) for men, though this varies significantly.

When in Doubt, Size Up - It's easier to resize a ring down than up, and a slightly larger ring can be worn with a temporary adjuster until properly sized.

Our Complimentary Resizing Service - We understand surprises don't always come in the perfect size. We offer complimentary resizing once anytime after purchase to ensure a perfect fit. Hassle-free.

Gift with Confidence - Include a note with your gift letting them know we're here to ensure the perfect fit. They can contact us directly for discreet resizing assistance.

Need Help? - Our team is experienced in helping gift-givers find the perfect size. Contact us for personalised advice and complete discretion.
